Active member benefits
You do not have to be an Active Member to attend GRMR events, receive hours, or be a part of the organization, however Active Members receive certain additional benefits:
You must be an Active Member (or have previously been an Active Member) to request a letter of recommendation.
You must be an Active Member to apply for an executive board position.
Active Members receive priority for attendance of international aid trips.
Active Members receive extra consideration for selective opportunities like medical clinics, assistant director applications, and workshops, though all members are welcome to apply.
During a member’s first semester in GRMR they will be considered an Active Member and receive the associated benefits, but must meet the Active Membership standards to keep that status after their first semester.

Request for letter of recommendation
To make the process of receiving a letter of recommendation more efficient, please complete the GRMR Request for Letter of Recommendation Form to request an official GRMR letter from the president or a particular director.
As an active member, we are happy to provide you with a detailed and thoughtful letter for whichever program you are applying for.
CliniCal, Research, and Political Opportunities Workshop
Our previous Medical Director, Natasha Tracy, held a workshop to present different involvement opportunities in our community for members to become involved with beyond GRMR. Feel free to reference the slides here for information shared!
FINANCIAL FORMS
The forms below may be used by registered active members to request funding from GRMR. Please be sure that your request is on the most current version of the form and that you have fully reviewed the GRMR Guidelines for Funding before filling out any of the forms.

EVENT/OPPORTUNITY PROPOSAL FORM
This form provides any member the opportunity to pitch an idea or established event to the board of directors for further development and execution. As an active member, you have an advantage when it comes to proposals: it’s what you do. The proposal itself is a plan. This is your opportunity to fully lay out your idea of how the event is going to play out, and draw the board of directors into your vision. Please fill out the GRMR Event Proposal Form in a timely fashion for consideration by the next board meeting.
Tutoring Committee APPLICATION
When you join our tutoring committee, you are connecting with something bigger. We are committed to making a difference in the lives of every person we help, and the tutors share that same passion. We are looking for passionate, driven, knowledgeable people to join us and put our students on the road to success.
Please fill out this Tutoring Committee Application Form if you would like to have a say in the materials and resources we provide to our refugee students on a weekly basis.
